Hi everyone,
imagine you could take every item in game available just like in a char-planner.
Which items would you take to get hitcapped and lose as little Dmg(sp/crit/haste/etc.) as possible?

In my calculation (3/3Shadow Focus 3% + 3/3Misery 3% + Draenei in group 1%) i need another 10% Hit= 10*26,23= 262,3HitR -12HitR(Icewalker-enchant)= 250,3 HitRating i have to get by gear.

I am starting this new thread because in all other threads a higher hitcap is used. Please dont discuss about having a Draenei in grp or not.

Simply tell me about your thoughts what would be the best way to reach 250,3 HitR by using gear only (no HitGems and no HitEnchants aside from Icewalker)

Using those numbers we can find the most efficient hit pieces to reach a hit rating of 277 (289 with the icewalker enchant) with.

The highest psuedopower combination I've come up with so far is:

[Dying Curse] (5.75), 71 hit
[Gemmed Wand of the Nerubians] (2.84), 18 hit
[Gown of the Spell-Weaver] (2.73), 72 hit
[Leggings of the Wanton Spellcaster] (2.49), 82 hit

Hit Total: 276 + 12 (Icewalker) = 288

i played with char dev myself and found a diffrent way:

1. [Wyrmrest Necklace of Power] (19.19), 33 hit
2. [Dying Curse] (5.75), 71 hit

5. [Gown of the Spell-Weaver] (2.73), 72 hit
9. [Valorous Mantle of Faith] (1.92), 41 hit

= 249HitR +12 HitR (Icewalker) = 9,95% + 7% i gain as mentioned in my first post

so i get 16,95% and in my calc a little more pp then in talloni's and cady's calc (compared Talloni's hitgear with cady's and with mine. Filling open slots with #1 items from BRGA-Thread )

My question now: 0,05% hit missing? do i notice this in dps?

Only if you actually miss. On average 0.05% miss chance will mean you'll miss one spell out of ~2000. One cast per 2s means you'll miss once per 1h 10min of continuous nuking. Of course you can get lucky and never miss, you can also get unlucky and get three misses in a row :)

All my misses tend to be with DP, which pissed me off. I think I have .02% chance to miss.

Please read first!
So after your replies i wasnt quite sure wich was the best way of getting the hitgear.
So i simply put all suggestions in chardev.org and filled free slots with #1 from BRGA-Thread!

Notice:
  • Instead of "Purified Twilight Opal" i took "Glowing Twilight Opal" (unlocking meta) because the first one was not available @ chardev oO but its used in the same slots in every gear so it should not make a diffrence (8 Spirit missing in every gear-> should not be worth discussing!)
  • 2nd Triket is Sundial of the Exiled (not sure about its ranking atm). But as above its used in every gear-> should not be worth discussing!
  • I am not quite sure if int and spirit are put into Spellpower/Crit/Haste directly @Chardev.org if not i ll add them in the calc below every gear.
  • Took all maths from BRGA-thread (still up to date?)
  • If you want to suggest your chardev-template PLEASE take enchants/gems etc. that i took (means: no ringenchants things like that)-> makes comparison for me much easier.
  • Could include mistakes! Please help checking

Cady's Hitgear(clickme)

Stats:
Spellpower: 2041 x1 =2041
Critrating: 533 x0,61 =325,13
Hasterating: 463 x0,56 =259,28
Hitrating: 288 =10,98%

PP@Hit % =2625,41@10,98%

my summarizing conclusion: hitcapped(0,02% miss) even without draenei aura BUT lowest pp
#1 without draeneiaura atm


My Hitgear(clickme)

Stats:
Spellpower: 2061 x1 =2061
Critrating: 511 x0,61 =316,82
Hasterating: 466 x0,56 =260,96
Hitrating: 261 =9,95%

PP@Hit% =2638,79@9,95%

my summarizing conclusion: #1@pp BUT draeneiaura needed and still 0,05% miss


Talloni's Hitgear(clickme)

Stats:
Spellpower: 2041 x1 =2041
Critrating: 557 x0,61 =339,77
Hasterating: 441 x0,56 =246,96
Hitrating: 270 =10,29%

PP@Hit%: =2627,73@10,29%

my summarizing conclusion: hitcapped with draenei aura BUT #2@pp and draeneiaura needed



Pleasant's Hitgear(clickme)

Stats:
Spellpower: 2051 x1 =2051
Critrating: 532 x0,61 =324,52
Hasterating: 410 x0,56 =229,6
Hitrating: 275 =10,48%

PP@Hit% =2605,12@10,48%

my summarizing conclusion: hitcapped with draeneiaura BUT low pp and draeneiaura needed

EDIT:

Why are people putting the other purple gem in the belt and not in both the neck and back which both have a 5sp socket bonus for blue?
